"I've already spilled the beans...she's carrying Levi's child. What a stud that hockey hottie is. Hockey Moms Spread Their Legs 4 Younger Boys"

"Sarah has a nice hockey black book and had them boys rotating in and out of the governors mansion."

I thought disgusting stuff like this was only posted at far left sites, like the Daily Kos.And this
idiot gets a couple likes for this, instead of scorn. All you Libs,Dems,or whoever hates Palin
should at least have a little class and denounce this garbage.

yikes demo ... I detect real venom there ... you seem to have an issue indeed with Christians ... or is it with the Person of Jesus Himself?
  • karris56 · 4 months ago
Happy? No, sad actually. You dont think those posts were out of line? And what's with the religious crap? Is that for laughs, or you trying to make me out a zealot?
  • xgoper · 4 months ago
Ever read free republic, talk about hate speech, it`s on both sides but most posts on daily kos are thoughtful, there are always a few jerks but the right wing sites really spew hate.
  • karris56 · 4 months ago
I have never read the free republic, unless an article was linked to there I might have read. But what does that have to do with the filth posted here? You dont excuse bad behavior by pointing to other bad behavior.

If righties post crap like this at free republic or lefties post crap at kos, they know where to find it.My point is, this is not the place for it. As for kos being "thoughtful" and the right sites "really spews hate"......Whatever. I see it as not even close the other way. But I am not in the mood or have the time to argue the point.Gotta go to work.

What do you suppose "bjr" stands for? Begala jr., Barak jr.?
  • Redzilla · 4 months ago
Liberals show their true colors tonight. Wow, you guys really hate Sarah, don't you? And you don't even know why. She was pretty clear in her speech, though I don't imagine many of you even heard it or saw it. Sarah is going to be around for a long time and she will be a major thorn in the libtards side. She is just getting started.
  • Dumpling · 4 months ago
    I watched it.

I hope someone alerted the NTSB, because that was one heck of a train wreck.

    =P
  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
Chuck Todd said "car wreck watchers".....either you are off topic from the NBC/MSNBC crowd, or you are taking the Todd analogy one step further.

Regardless, once the dust settles on this announcement, we will see how/what she intends to do. The media will never leave her alone, she is great for their ratings. She will write her book, get big bucks, campaign across the country for like-minded pols, and will have an impact.

Campbell and Katie are celebrating their politics of personal destruction; expect to see both of their ratings fall even further.
  • wermyapl · 4 months ago
"Wow, you guys really hate Sarah, don't you?"

They tend to love people in general, but hate individuals. They live in a paradoxical world, where liberty means slavery and progressive means regression to despotism. At least that's what their policies have lead to for about 100 years.
  • Predator · 4 months ago
A blog just published at the Huffington Post is disgracefully titled "Palin Will Run In '12 On More Retardation Platform."

Thats the kinda stuff thats posted on Obama's fav. blog.

This is what we've come to expect from the left.
  • Dumpling · 4 months ago
Or better yet, post on HuffPo, not on here.

But then again, they get actual traffic, so your post may get lost. It's not like on here, where you have the same dozen or so folks that linger around all day.

    =P
  • Same2U(AH) · 4 months ago
I guess you believe Todd and a couple of buddies built the Palin house.

P.S. If you are going to trash a post on another site, at least link to it.
  • THE_Anonymous · 4 months ago
    Wow.

I can't believe I spent 30 mins reading all these comments (341 at last count).

But just out of curiosity, is this how Americans spend their Independence day? Bashing political parties, saying that an elected official was "knocked up" by their daughter's ex bf, spewing idiotic things about the First Lady and making rude attacks against each other for disagreeing with opinions?

I guess the hysteria surrounding this "breaking news" is pretty large, but some comments here are freakin' EMBARRASSING!
(the pinkster was actually one of the more TAME ones here...eek!)

I scanned a few other political blogs and the people there are just as loony, so I guess it's not a TVN "exclusive" (thank God)

But regardless.....things like this make me glad to be Canadian lol

    America's Hat...and it's a Top hat today.
  • rather_right · 4 months ago
Fox News reran her whole speech during the Greta hour....since no one REPORTS what a conservative says I listened carefully to her words. She spoke a LONG TIME and hardly looked at her notes...she spoke from the HEART and prefaced her resignation with a stirring commentary on what the 4th of July really means.

The snewsz media just doesn't get Palin at all. Watch, she will carve out a conservative movement for (hopefully) retaking the House of Representatives and then help shape the Presidential ticket.

Whether she runs for Prez or not is not important...what she does to reinvigorate the Conservative movement could be as important as Gingrich/94 and Reagan sweeping 49 states for Prez.

You go girl! Don't expect any type of fair treatment from anyone in the Snewz media...you will talk over them and around them right to America.

    Bless You Sarah!
  • wermyapl · 4 months ago
She sounded like Ron Paul in many respects before she was the VP nominee. Hopefully she goes back to those ideas instead of being a progressive war monger Republican like McCain and Bush.
  • ChuckfromTacoma · 4 months ago
The problem with Ron Paul was his war (anti) stance. That is the only reason I and millions of others could not vote for him. While my son and his buddy's are fighting in the sand box, Paul was acting a pussy.
  • wermyapl · 4 months ago
"The problem with Ron Paul was his war (anti) stance."

CNN just played a clip of her speech but interestingly enough it did not include the part about her reasons for moving on. I'm so sick and tired of these stupid media games. CNN is lost, and this clip/segment is one of the reasons why.

The hatred these lefties have for Palin is palpable.

  • Julescat · 4 months ago
sounds like the left is worried. They can't keep her bogged down with nuisance lawsuits anymore. She is free to point out Obumbles flaws ad nauseum.
  • phoenixstorm · 4 months ago
Oh no... the left is GIDDY with glee... the implosion of your party has been a real treat to watch. And, hopefully, your party will trot out this gasbag/dimwit/Jesus freak for the 2012 election - assuring the Dems of yet another victory. Please let it be so.... please!!!

  • Julescat · 4 months ago
Liberals are mad because Palin is now free to organize her base and help campaign for Republicans and herself. This is like Ronald Reagan after he lost the nomination in 1976. Palin also frees herself from the Soros/DNC/Obumbles nuisance lawsuits. During the last campaign she drew bigger crowds than Obumbles. Dems have a lot to worry about!
  • Demo · 4 months ago
Liberals are mad because Palin is now free to organize her base and help campaign for Republicans and herself.

    You're kidding, right? lol
  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
Only time will tell Demo; the left is writing her off, just like much of the right is today. Her move is clearly unconventional and unexpected.

One commentator said it best last night:

We hate her because she isn't in our "class".

An elitist remark of amazing honesty.

McCain/Palin got 60M votes, there are a lot of people eager to hear her voice and it will be heard. Time will tell how effective she will be, but I'm not writing her off, and those who do are short sighted, imho.
  • Spursbox · 4 months ago
Since they received their 60M votes, more people have opened their eyes to the real Obama. Wonder what the outcome would be today?
  • Demo · 4 months ago
"Only time will tell Demo; the left is writing her off, just like much of the right is today."

    That's exactly my point.

The left is writing her off, yet this poster 'Julescat' writes that the left is "mad" because she's making some brilliant move.
It is the most ludicrous, out-of-touch post I have read here in quite some time.

Believe me, the left is not "angry" about what happened yesterday!!! lol
  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
The left is mad demo, just look at the comments on this board. The hatred for this good Governor is beyond the pale.

The left is threatened by her and they are angry. They have written her off as a Presidential candidate in 2012, indeed, she has probably taken herself out of that role. She is young and in this political climate we are in today, anything can happen. There is always 2016 but she doesn't have to hold office to hold an audience, that is clear.

The fear this woman invokes in the left is noticeable. It is why they attack her endlessly. She attracts mainstream America and mainstream Amercians right now are pretty fed up with the One and his lapdogs in the media.

She is a voice and it will be heard. Listen carefully.

I think you would agree that this is clearly a case of media malpractice and the politics of personal destruction done by the enemedia on behalf of the democrat party. There will be payback and backlash, and I personally look forward to watching that unfold.
  • Demo · 4 months ago
I wont even deny anything you said.
    I'm not contesting that.

I am contesting what Julescat said about THIS PARTICULAR PALIN MOVE.
He said the left are mad because they basically are intimidated by it.
    Ridiculous.
The left looks on this 'quitting' as political suicide.
Right or wrong, they are rejoicing over it.
They are not mad about yesterday.

Stop talking about Palin in general please, when I was specifically addressing Julescat position about yesterday's events only, which is what this thread is about.
  • phoenixstorm · 4 months ago
Oh no, "mad" is the wrong word. "Giddy" would be more appropriate. Please, please, please let the Republicans put all their eggs in the Palin basket! I can't think of a more entertaining run-up to the 2012 presidential election. Like most Republican leaders she's far too polarizing a figure to have any chance to win. Fun!
  • bjr · 4 months ago
Yes please go out and campaign for whomever you like!! Tank their campaigns just like you did with McCains! Have at it Sarah McPain.
Sure many people are willing to vote for a likable dumb guy such as Bush...but never is Palin going to become president. There isn't a more annoying dumb broad in this country...if there is I hope to never come across her..except in a dark room under the sheets.
  • mdlib · 4 months ago
i agree, America hates a quitter. palin is going no where, even the establishment GOP hates her. I think her future is at FOX, hanging out with Beck.
Even if she somehow ever got nominated she would never get elected, she has shown herself to be totally unbalanced. She has not served woman well.
She is a dipsy woman who overacheived to begin with. Sure she will get the 35% of the wingnuts but no reasonable thinking person would trust this woman leading the most powerful nation. She has showed her true colors.
  • bjr · 4 months ago
And I take it this is coming from an intelligent woman like yourself? Why is it so hard for people not to see through this lady Sarah Palin?
  • Spursbox · 4 months ago
You can see through Obama so what is the big deal?
  • bjr · 4 months ago
No seeing through that man....He has depth, courage, smarts, and character. His brain alone would squash you like a bug...not to mention his athletic abilities. Did you watch him catch a fly out of mid air my grasshoppa?
  • Spursbox · 4 months ago
I'll give you that he has depth, courage, and smarts. Unfortunately, his smarts are being used to destroy the US economy. By the next mid term election, he's going to be facing huge unemployment, huge deficits, rising tax rates on most Americans and perhaps the start of inflation rates that haven't been seen since the 1970's.

Yes, I agree he is smart and he does know what he is doing. Too bad for us.

My puny IQ can see through this man. It's the "smart" ones who can't seem to see the real world.
  • bjr · 4 months ago
Talk to your Republican counterparts on how to destroy a healthy economy. Start wars and create huge budget deficits. Your little boy Bush made a huge mess and look who has to come in for the rescue. What you conservatives don't understand is that you talk about less govt and then go ahead in the opposite direction...spend spend spend. Then the Dems have to come in and raise your taxes that have been unfairly cut in order to pay for the lavishness. Get a clue and do some research. This all started on Bush's watch and don't you forget that!!
  • Predator · 4 months ago
When is this rescue suppose to start?? Almost 3 million jobs lost since Obama took office.
  • Spursbox · 4 months ago
You are right of course. Bush was very disappointing. He campaigned as a conservative but governed as a liberal. Many of his liberal policies caused much pain. Obama is simply taking the pain to a new level.
  • bjr · 4 months ago
So then enlighten us all smart guy. What would you do to stabilize the economy at this point. Bush started with all the govt bailout money....turning it in a socialist direction. The stock market has actually rebounded in past months, but it will take longer for unemployment to stabilize until employers know they are on safe ground again.
  • Spursbox · 4 months ago
    1. Cancel the rest of the $787B in stimulous.

    2. Enact an immediate tax cut for business, investors and individuals.

    3. Insure that consumers see the tax cut in their pay now.

    4. Review the TARP program and use the funds to insure banks are lending in larger numbers than we saw over the past 9 months.

They wouldn't dare, because they are gutless cowards. Michelle has more beauty, class, intelligence and grace than Palin will ever hope to have.

Michelle has degrees from Princeton AND Harvard. Sarah went to, what 5 different schools (she showed signs of being a QUITTER way back then, too) just for her undergrad. Sounds like a brilliant person to me. Palin wouldn't even qualify to be first lady, let alone president!

I enjoy watching Republicans dig their own graves. I am absolutely flabbergasted by the swiftness with which they are destroying themselves. The scandals and bombshells seem to be coming in at a pace of at least once a week. That's a new record.

Just when I was done licking my liberal chops over one Republican scandal, another one turns up. I feel like a child let loose in a political candy shop. This is almost too good to be true. I don't know if I'm dreaming, but if I am, I don't want it to stop.

  • Dead_Air · 4 months ago
I think the important thing to read into this is the timing of the announcement. She did this on a day leading into a national holiday. Companies in NYC made today a paid holiday since the 4th fall on a Saturday this year. Therefore most broadcast/newspapers are running on skeleton crew, making it hard to cover a story clear on the other side of the country.

To me that reads damage control.

To wit, when companies release negative financial information, a lot of times they will wait until Friday after 6:00pm when CNBC, FBN, and Bloomberg have started the process of winding down. The reason behind this is that maybe over the weekend the bad news be forgotten in the shuffle of an every changing news environment.

Back to Palin, remember we didn't find out about daughter Bristol being pregnant until Labor Day, while there was a hurricane raging in the Gulf of Mexico.

Seriously, it's one of the oldest tricks in the book.
  • American Patriot · 4 months ago
True, you make an interesting point. I am sure the Independence Day holiday was part of her calculation. She might also be capitalizing on the fact that Michael Jackson's death is still big news in the media, so her resignation might not get that much coverage as it would normally.
  • Predator · 4 months ago

I look forward to watching her reemerge on the public scene in a few weeks/months and fight her good fight. I suspect she will take on the media in a big way, which means they won't give her as much coverage.

  • NewsCorpse · 4 months ago
I wasn't planning on responding to you since your comments are almost exclusively juvenile taunts and utterly fact-free, but I just have to point out what a brazen and shameless liar you are in this regard.

To say that the Palin story was on the Fox Nation front page "almost at once" is demonstrably false. Why would you go to the extreme of telling a lie that can be so easily disproven? How embarrassing for you.

Even you could have just gone to the comment section and found the first one posted was ->Friday, July 03, 2009 at 10:42 PM<- That's over seven hours after the news broke on TV.

If you have even an ounce of integrity you'll apologize. Then you can go back to your infantile insults and resume lowering the level of discourse around here.
  • GATXER · 4 months ago

The fact that a guy who calls himself NEWSCORPSE would complain about insults and discourse is unreal.

Dont want to be called on all your lies....maybe you should stick to KOS...were you can lie all day and not get called.....but people here arent all sheep.
  • NewsCorpse · 4 months ago
No proof? In addition to your dishonesty, you have the reading comprehension capability of a gnat.

The proof is right there in my last comment. You could easily verify it yourself, but that would require a functioning cerebrum.

And I'm through responding to your blathering. I've got better things to do than to be an enabler of your dementia.
  • GATXER · 4 months ago
So your Proof is that you can’t find earlier comments? That’s a joke right Newsdope?

I SAW IT MYSELF...so once again you are telling LIES....I know you have FDS but its not Fox's fault that you cant see through all the foam on your glasses.

FOR THE RECORD....IT WAS THERE only Newsdope didn’t see it........ ……...if it wasn’t there you would have at least 1 screen print right? You had 7 hours right? What Newsdope didn’t get proof of his lies......of course you rarely do have proof........no wonder J$ calls you on it so easily!

Cleary in Newsdopes world the fact that Fox wouldn’t shut up about the Gov and Foxnews.com had many stories …because Newsdope couldn’t find it…..it was a FoxNews cover-up!

How can anyone take you seriously in anyway?

How can you be so ignorant? NewsCorpse posted EVIDENCE, and all you can say is "I saw it myself." You'd make a fine journalist over at FOXnews: who needs facts, right?

So Palin thinks she's going to run for president when her skin is apparently thinner than an onion skin? Boy if the Clintons' had a dime for every time a late-night comedian had made a joke about them. And somehow Pres. Obama and his family have withstood the terrible things said about them (including right here on this very message board). And let's not forget that Limbaugh called Chelsea the Clinton family dog. It's part and parcel of politics and anyone who thinks it's solely doled out to Palin and her brood hasn't been paying attention.

Anywho, if Palin is getting out of the kitchen because it was way too hot, well again, it shows that she does not have the timber to be a presidential candidate. Then of course there is the simple fact that most Governors run on their record as governor when they are running for prez. She couldn't even finish out a single term. Her political career is finished except in speaking to wacky right-wing groups who will overpay her to babble incoherently to them (they speak a common language so it's fine). Of course maybe she can replace Greta at 10pm on Fox. I can see a future in that for her.

But I do congratulate her on giving a press conference that made Mark Sanford's look eloquent in comparison and her ability to totally stupidy the MSM (which of course doesn't take much).

"speaking to wacky right-wing groups who will overpay her to babble incoherently"

Sarah Palin brings a whole new meaning to the expression "speaking in tongues".

And I think it was Peggy Noonan who referred to her talking as "yammering"

Well, good golly miss molly - the folks who hate Sarah Palin are certainly out in force, and notice nobody debates her accomplishments or position on the issues. It seems to me that because she is pro-life and is loving and raising a precious DS child that venom and filth are spewing forth from a multitude of people ...... it is kinda like the undercurrent in a verbal sewer ..... I just pick up a whiff of that tone in a post and skip on by. Reckon Sarah does too .... stay up in the fresh air Sarah and speak out for those of us who want smaller govt and seek decency, honesty and integrity in leadership above all else .....

Anyways, the weeks and months ahead will reveal if there are multitudes of people who support what Sarah Palin stands for, and identify with her values .... we shall see ....
  • bjr · 4 months ago
open your eyes to the truth...she's a fraud
  • exodus2011 · 4 months ago
Hey cutie - Sarah Palin is a fraud? ... do you mean she doesn't mean the things she says? .. or she is lying? (what has she lied about?) .... do you think she is presenting herself as something she is not? ... she is hiding something about herself that the public should know? ... in what way do you think Mrs Palin is a fraud?
  • bjr · 4 months ago
Building a home by the lake on the taxpayers dime wouldn't be considered fraudulent? She'll be exposed in due time.
  • exodus2011 · 4 months ago
howdy again cry - well, we will need documents to support that charge against SP. Seems to me after seeing all the ethics complaints against her already investigated and dismissed, plus the rumours that continually pop up suggesting terrible things - so much so that the FBI no less has made an unprecedented public statement concerning her not being investigated, that in all likelihood this latest charge you mention, will also prove to be empty.

There is no doubt that attempts to bring Sarah Palin down though whatever means necessary will continue while she presents such a threat to those in power. The verbal sewer will continue to flow with filth, but we'll keep the desanitiser hose handy so that the air remains somewhat breathable .. *__*

Again cry - good to have a conversation with ya up in the clean verbal air .... *__*

hey cutie, I'm trying to find that post about DS children where you conveyed a denigrating slang term to describe them .... did you think better of it after posting and cancel ? (if so I applaud your judgement), or did the Moderator of this blog block the message?

Anyway, it seems from your moniker that you consider yourself appealing in appearance, or perhaps in personality? .. or perhaps in both .... Do you think a DS child has no value to society at all, or just that a DS child is not nearly as valuable to society as you are cutie?
  • Demo · 4 months ago
Hooray for baiting and troll posts!!!!!
  • exodus2011 · 4 months ago
Hiya demo - you are glad cos the 'troll post' has brought out a topic worthy of discussion, that being 'the value or otherwise of DS children to society' ? or, you just like a good verbal joust?
  • Demo · 4 months ago
It is not a topic worthy of discussion.
It is just you trolling someone with a loaded question over an old post so you can make them appear like an ass.
If you legitimately wanted to have an intelligent conversation with that person there is no way in blue blazes you would have worded it like that.
  • exodus2011 · 4 months ago
Demo, perhaps I was guilty of being offended by what was said about DS children, but I am also interested to know whether the Moderator blocked the comment .... I was certainly genuine in applauding the comment retraction by cutie if that is indeed how it happened.

Regarding the topic being worthy of discussion - you think it is not ... however, I believe this underlying issue should indeed be discussed ..... and since this blog is a vehicle for all kinds of filth against Sarah Palin, I would at least like to have some genuine discussion about the real reason for those foul outbursts.
  • mdlib · 4 months ago
Just be happy that Obama got elected. Palin is the peter principle in action, a woman who rose on no skill and total bs. She quit before the state hit the skids and she would get the blame, people hate quitters.
Whatever becomes of her she has no national political future, the GOP will nominate her at their peril,a Goldwater disaster would follow. She is a personality and her future is probably in entertainment.
  • Julescat · 4 months ago
funny thing is that Obumbles and his actions are proving the Peter principle. Economy is tanking. Even small time despots (N Korea) are disrespecting the US. Unemployment at an all-time high. Deficits at an all time high. Stagflation around the corner. Maybe affirmative action shouldn't apply to the Oval Office.
  • mdlib · 4 months ago
Come back in 2 years and if things are the same you`re right. As of now we are still feeling th effects of Bush.I know you are suffering because Obama is going to change America and will be president for 8 years. You guys have no one but a bunch of losers to offer! Palin has set the womans movement back a generation.

  • exodus2011 · 4 months ago
Hi mdlib, I can't be happy about this TOTUS being in charge and lurching the country to the left .... am not at all in agreement with the direction the country is being taken ....

That being said, I would also dispute your comment that Sarah Palin has no skill and is all bs .... you see I have had an unbiased look at her record of accomplishment both as Gov and before she became Gov ... the people of Alaska surely appreciated her governance, and someone with no political skill could not attract the huge crowds that she does ....

You appear to have inside info on the State of Alaska about to hit the skids .... is it documented yet or have you picked up that idea from the hopeful rumours that likely saturate lefty blogs all over cyberspace?

I would also dispute your comment that Sarah Palin has no political future .... I believe that she is greatly concerned at the socialist direction this country is taking and her goal is to help the country by assisting small govt advocates to get elected, just as she said .....

perhaps events will unfold where she herself is elected to some national office also .... that is certainly not outta the Q cos it is up to the voters out there ....so, we shall see - there is no doubt that whatever Sarah Palin chooses to say or do publically will be POUNCED on and scrutinised in the media, and denigrated by many .... that's no never mind .... the battle is on .... more and more folks will take sides .... you and I are clearly on different sides in this battle md - glad to have a conversation with ya up outta the sewer where the air is fresher ... whew .. *__*

  • JunkJunk · 4 months ago
Sarah Palin just aborted her term as governor. I guess she is pro-choice after all!

And I get the feeling that a larger scandal is about to rock the Palin world soon. There are rumors (I repeat: rumors) that her Wasilla home was built in exchange for a $13 million contract award. They say that she's trying to get out as quickly as possible to try to make the feds go away quietly. But the investigation is going to ratchet up over the next few weeks.

We'll see, I suppose. That would really suck for her family, but it certainly wouldn't come as a surprise...

Why would she make such a big announcement on a Friday afternoon, when you do your "data dumps" and try to avoid news cycles?

Is this a desperate bid for attention, or is she trying NOT to have this story covered?

Why did her staff and her twitter announce right before her presser that she would be saying she wasn't running for another term, not that she was stepping down?

Does this have anything to do with the on-going federal investigation of how her house was built by the same people and using the same materials as the Wasilla Civic Center (which was started by the Bush Administration before she was picked by McCain)?

Is there a reason she feels she would be a lame duck with 18 months left to serve?

Why is her staff telling some news sources she is out of politics for good and others telling the SAME news sources that she's planning a run for national office?

Why is no one in the "news" media asking these questions?

And finally, in a fit of snark, did she at least leave Bill Kristol cab fare after the screwing she just gave him today after he has spent a year telling us how brilliant she is and how she is the future of the Republican party?

The 360 live blog is blocking any and all criticism of Anderson's biased coverage of Palin tonight.

    I can't say that I am surprised.
  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
AC is horrible tonight; I laughed when he said "I don't understand sports" because he couldn't comprehend the sports analogy Gov Palin made in her speech. He is ignorant and his coverage tonight is biased beyond words. Gergan is equally bad and Rollins isn't any better, I might add.
  • Librablue · 4 months ago
Wasn't he? I think he says that because it makes his fan girls giggle. He was a coxswain (I am not kidding) in college so he knows something about sports. If he doesn't, why was he at a Mets' game with Madonna? If he wasn't there for sports he was hanging with celebs, something else he denies doing.

I knew the Palin news would send him into a frenzy, but I must say that I was shocked to see him subbing for CB and LK! I think the last time he subbed was for Aaron Brown on News Night and you know what happened after that. If I were CB or LK I would be watching my back.

I always hit the remote when Gergen comes on because I keep remembering his creepy chuckle over "tea bagging" and Rollins is a coward.

I think it is a little creepy that you are stalking me.
  • Dead_Air · 4 months ago
This would be my point.... I just did a quick count of this thread. As of Saturday, 7:30am east coast, there are 196 posts. Of those 196 posts, 18 are from you, eleven of which somehow include Anderson Cooper in them.

In your post history, which runs 132 pages, if I was really bored I could go and tally up the number of posts that somehow incorporate Cooper into it. I'd bet more than half.

And let's not forget, don't you have a blog dedicated to AC?

One more thing.... if you google the terms "LibraBlue Anderson Cooper," your world will be opened to a treasure trove of different blogs where LB posts her opinion of all things AC.

    Thanks for playing.
  • Librablue · 4 months ago
You have quite a lot of time on your hands for someone working in the business, you must work for CNN.

I do have a blog about Anderson, the only one willing to criticize him I might add. All your "treasures" are merely comments from that blog. Besides TV Newser and Politico I rarely comment to other blogs, but if that is what gets you off, knock yourself out.

I didn't realize that TV Newser had a limit on how many times posters could comment on anyone. Not that it is any of your business, but I write about Anderson because I have been following his careeer for many years and I started out as an admirer of his until he sold out.

Unlike you, I don't read any of your comments not directed to me and I don't have any need to investigate other commentors so I don't know and I don't care about your background so how could I "comprehend" any difference?

I think Chris should be made aware of your feelings about me. I will be sending him copies of your last two comments, I suggest you stop this harassment. I am beginning to realize what you are.

You are correct, I am not. Murrow was a newsman working on the journalism side, while I am a director which places me in the production side. Since you have never worked in the business it doesn't surprise me that you can't comprehend the difference.
  • JunkJunk · 4 months ago
You reported his post? For what? He didn't curse or threaten your life or something.

If you're going to dish it, you've got to be able to take it.
  • Librablue · 4 months ago
The problem is I am not dishing it at anyone, but CNN and Anderson, which are fair game, so what gives him, her, or it the right to insult me personally? If you don't like my comments why do you guys continue to read them?

I have the same right to express my opinion as anyone else on this blog. At least I back up my opinions with facts and I never make personal comments about anyone unless they attack me first.

Also, I was responding to someone else's comment so why not criticize that person?

And yes, if I am personally attacked or insulted I will report it. If that is unacceptable to you don't comment to me or about me.

Anderson doesn't even know about the Alaskan Democrat Party's latest flyer making fun of Trig.

What struck me about the round table on CNN is that one guest (name escapes me) said he completely understood her reasoning, that she is unable to govern because of the malicious attacks and absurd ethical complaints have caused the state to spend excess hours and excess money on defending the governor. At the end of that statement, AC said this:

"You actually believed her"? I was laughing out loud. AC can't hide his hatred for all things conservative. And then he went into her "grammar". What a clymer. Have you ever heard AC criticize Obama for his stumbling and bumbling when he is sans Teleprompter?

I have a problem with Carl Cameron on FOXentertainment saying that we should simply "take [Palin] at her word" about her decision to resign midway through her first term. You're a reporter, danggit - investigate and get some background on the decision.

Almost everyone is saying the same thing - there is a missing piece to this story. You can just quit because people are picking on you. She looks incredibly weak. I wonder how long she would have survived as Vice-President...

I'm laughing at your statement about "reporting". The liberal media has never reported on Obama, yet they went through Palin's trash to dig dirt, they never once talked about her accomplishments as Governor.

  • Librablue · 4 months ago
Anderson has never hidden his hatred for Palin nor has he objectively covered Obama no matter how many times he cries about being objective and letting viewers "make up their own minds," and not believing in opinionated journalism.

The only people who believe that are the ones who are drinking his Kool-Aid or don't watch his show.

In regards to the Jackson circus, Anderson had been rude when he interviewed Cherilyn Lee, the nurse who claimed that Jackson had asked her for Diprival, insinuating that she was being less than honest, so now he is trying to backtrack on his attitude.
  • JunkJunk · 4 months ago
I didn't think Anderson was "rude" to Ms. Lee. He seemed understandably skeptical, considering all the people who are pontificating and trying to insert themselves in this circus. But I thought he treated her appropriately.

We'll see in the coming weeks if her story matches reality...
  • Librablue · 4 months ago
I watched it more than once and he was more than just skeptical. He should have been skeptical last night with those guys in charge of putting together Jackson's last tour when they claimed he was in great health. Anyone who watched that video could see that he wasn't.

They had a lot of money invested in that tour so they weren't about to tell Anderson that Jackson was too sickly to do it and I think they would have done anything, including giving him drugs and paying off doctors to get him through that tour.

Sarah Palin is typical of Republicans. They are so dumb, it's almost laughable. They are also dishonest, corrupt, and criminal in their ways. The stink of their hypocrisy rises towards the heavens.

You can never trust Republicans. Most of them have dark secrets that they don't want the rest of us to know about. They go around acting morally superior to guise their evil deeds. We see so many examples of them: Mark Sanford, John Ensign, David Vitter, Larry Craig, Mark Foley, and the list goes on and on and on.

Hi Beav, I notice you Q my intellect because I support Sarah Palin, (or were you only targetting Tina with that comment?)appreciate her integrity, admire her accomplishments as a civic leader, right through from the township to the State level ..... there is an abundance of material (on the record too!) to undergird the support for Sarah Palin.

Is everyone who disagrees with your viewpoint lacking in intelligence Beav, or is the designation restricted just to those who admire and respect Sarah Palin as a leader?

Good grief, I take off for the week end to tend to my nation and come back to this. A five hundred plus post thread with 450 of the posts being from our liberal friends showing in many different ways their fear of Sarah Palin.
Your fear is justified. She will be a force to be dealt with.
    Be afraid.
But in the meanwhile, just keep insulting her. It is a great way to hide your fear.
  • bjr · 4 months ago
No fear from the left at all...put her any and everywhere you people like. What is there to be afraid of...lipstick, ice cream, and bubble gum? This is simply a roast of that pig we saw last year trotted out for nothing more than sex appeal. Do you really think McCain was going to use her for her brains? I think he had other services in mind when she was "vetted". If you really believe this woman has a shot in politics after this debacle, you bible thumpers are are seriously hard up for new leadership. She had no interest in running the state of Alaska after losing last year! What's would she do with the White House? Call 911 for a little CPR?

If you want to talk about women to be reckoned with...let's talk about our present day 1st lady. Not some has been quitter from a hicksville backwater. Sarah Palin is as dumb as a fox. She has both the left and right running scared right now. That is not a bad position to be in. This is when change really happens.

In her pressor she stated that she will work with anyone that shares a common purpose to get our country moving again in the right ( correct ) direction to solve the many problems that we face. There are many in both the democratic & republican party that believe that our elected officials are just two different sides of the same coin.

Whatever you think of her, she draws crowds and attention to herself. I believe that she could help start a real movement that would finally represent us common folk and not all the special interests groups that have their hands in our lives and our wallets.

She could end up becoming the spoiler.

    Just my opinion !!!!

I think you are exactly right.

Further, if the name Palin can generate almost 500 posts on this web site, you know she has the charisma to elicit tremendous interest. Think Romney or Huckabee would elicit this kind of response?

"Half a brain" goes without saying, he was a Republican, after all. :)

Unfortunately, all the big Liberal brains don't seem to understand the state of this country today. They are setting up a situation that will help the opponent candidate to succeed in 2012.

After all, even democrat voters don't like massive unemployment, huge deficits, impending inflation. Many will even oppose $5 gasoline.

  • xgoper · 4 months ago
You are delusional, Carter had about a 30% approval rating Obama about 60. Unless republicans can come up with a reasonable candidate Obama will win in a landslide.
Palin will never appeal to more than 40% of the country and independents do not like her. Anyone that thinks the GOP will come back in 2012 are nuts, people do not like or trust republicans and demographics are going against you more every election. Obama is no Carter, that`s just a story you tell each other to make yourself feel better.

Clearly you object to Sarah Palin in every way beav .... it's amazing how she appeals greatly to multitudes in America and also arouses denigration and foul outbursts from many others ..... polarising she surely is ....

May I say the 'half a brain' comment is somewhat out of character for your ususal tone beav, it's emotive but not very accurate, *__*

As for 'she's done, get over it' ..... now beav, that is hopeful from your point-of-view, but we shall have to wait and watch events unfold. I can envisage several scenarios where such a forecast misses the target completely ...

But fear not, there will be much new fodder concerning Sarah Palin to rage against as time goes on .... sadly the lefty sewer blogs will continue to flow with new filth also, but hopefully there are a multitude of folks who can discuss the issues that affect the country without having to be hosed off with desanitiser on a regular basis. Glad to have a conversation with ya up here in the fresh air beav *__*

    1. Mark Sanford disclosing more trists and inappropriate contact with women other than his wife

    2. Al Franken FINALLY awarded the Minnesota Senate seat after a disgraceful loser, Republican Norm Coleman, concedes after 8 months of holding out for a miracle

    3. Sarah Palin abandons the Alaskans who voted her into office...

What fun things does next week hold? Will the implosion of the Republican party continue to accelerate? Stay tuned! Fun!

Sarah Palin is typical of all Republicans. They have no class, they are uneducated, and they are extremely corrupt. I bet she is hiding some evil secret. You can never trust a Republican, they always got something nasty going on behind the shadows. Whatever she is hiding, I want to know. The media should probe this further and get to the bottom of every detail about this wicked woman from Alaska.

YEAH! Because when you type in "Obama attacked" or "Obama family attacked" in google, you get 0 (zero) hits. That's because the Republicans are such God-fearing, Jesus-loving angels who have never dared to utter a negative word about our president or his family. God bless 'em!

  • Spursbox · 4 months ago
I would never suggest trusting politicians in general. But to be fair to your "typical Republican" comment, how 'bout those Dems?

Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY): The Chairman of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, Rangel coughed up $75,000 in unpaid back taxes on rental income last year. The House ethics committee is investigating whether Rangel fulfilled all of his disclosure requirements related to that property, among other issues. In June, the panel launched another investigation of whether a Caribbean trip Rangel and four other Democrats took amounted to an improper gift.

None of these issues were mentioned on ABC, CBS or NBC this year, although Rangel was featured as a talking head in a number of morning and evening news stories. On March 19, the CBS Evening News included a Rangel soundbite in a story on congressional outrage over the AIG bonuses: “Stop the thievery at taxpayers’ expense!” The next night, CBS had another clip of Rangel railing, “Stop the thievery!,” but no mention of the chairman’s ethics problems.

    ■ Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-IN) and Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA): Three top Democrats are linked to the scandal surrounding the PMA Group, a lobbying group that closed its doors earlier this year after being raided by the FBI in February. The New York Times reported then that top lobbyist Paul Magliocchetti was suspected of funneling “bogus” campaign contributions to Murtha, Visclosky and Moran, in exchange for directing more than $100 million to PMA clients. Rep. Visclosky had admitted being subpoenaed in May by a federal grand jury, and temporarily stepped down as Chairman of the House Appropriations subcommittee on energy and water development.

None of the broadcast networks have mentioned Visclosky and Moran’s potential role in the scandal. ABC and NBC have been similarly quiet about Murtha, whom the networks elevated to folk-hero status for his condemnations of the Iraq war in 2005. CBS’s Sharyl Attkisson, however, has produced three investigative pieces digging into Murtha’s ethics, the most recent airing on the June 2 Evening News.

    ■ Ex-Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA): Jefferson lost a run-off election late last year after investigators found $90,000 in cash stuffed in the congressman’s freezer. In January, NBC made brief references to the charges against Jefferson in a profile of his successor, Republican Joseph Cao. Jefferson’s bribery trial — prosecutors say he received $400,000 in bribes to help orchestrate business deals in Africa — began on June 9, but the networks have yet to mention the case.

    "Alaska...home to Americas outcast society."

And before Alaska was the frontier the frontier was the west coast, before that it was west of Mississippi, before that it was west of the Appalachians, before that it was the original colonies. America was a society based on outcasts, uniting together to oppose tyranny. I'm not sure why you'd want to insult that legacy.

You maybe right about that, but I don't want my vice president to ramble on about a point guard going to the hole...LOL I mean if that's the level she has to go down to in order to communicate with the people up there...it must tell you something about the intelligence of the people who elected her in the first place. Why does an adult woman, like Sarah Palin is, a self-protection from herself. She maybe is a little bit ruthless in stating something, but at least she has a heart.

And she certainly has no low IQ, since she was a journalist in her former days, that forbids her from having a low IQ. Or will you say journalists are unintelligent?
  • bjr · 4 months ago
I really don't care what she was or is today. It's my hope she will now go away from the public eye and save us all the embarrassment. I mean she's a real life train wreck.

Then why are you spamming this board with rants you don't really care about? You're a waste of precious time.
  • bjr · 4 months ago
She's wasting my precious life every time I turn on CNN or Fox News. Go back to being a hockey mom for all we care and stop bringing your daughters into the public spotlight where late night comedians will make jokes. That is what they've always done....anyone remember a man named Johnny? Please... David Letterman was doing his job...making bad jokes and all the conservatives get bent out of shape over it. If you can't take the heat step out the kitchen....looks like finally she has...for now. Another thing...if Chelsey Clinton got knocked up at 17 or 18...the conservatives wouldn't have ever said a word. Right???
  • IhateKoolAid · 4 months ago
Actually Rush Limbaugh once called Chelsey the family dog. That was out of place and so was what Letterman said. In 4 years if Obama is still in office I get Letterman can make jokes about Obama's older daughter as well being nailed by A-fraud

And GWB made how many moronic statements during his 8 years in office? Give the guy a break he was on the campaign trail and probably sleeping 2 hours a night. He knows there are 50 US states and meant 47. Either that or it was meant to be ironic...meaning it felt like he'd visited more than the 50 states in the nation. Pull your head out of your ass and think once in a while before you turn on that damn radio in the morning where Limbo or Dildo brainwashes you people. Think outside the box now and again...would you do that for me? I'm sure I know the answer..you are beyond being able to think for yourself. Somebody has to tell you what and how to think.

BUT, I can see it now. Palin getting her own show in primetime on Fox News.

The real reason Palin is resigning is to accept an offer from Rupert Murdock:

The Sarah Palin Show Set To Premiere On Fox News?

A Palin show on Fox News has always been a good fit for both her and Fox. Neither have an interest in, or reputation for, honesty or accuracy. And both have profited from exploiting controversy and sex.

For the last time my right wing friends... nobody on the left hates or fears Sarah Palin. She is a dream come true for the left. If she indeed does run for the Republican nomination in 2012, I'll be rooting for her. Of course she'll have to go through the primaries--she'll have to debate and debate, she'll have to endure even more criticism (from within her own party!) and she'll even have to do endless interviews. It'll be fun.
The only problem is, I don't think Sarah will hang in long enough to get the nomination. If she found governing Alaska to be a below her after the 2008 campaign, she's going to hate primary campaigning.
In her incoherent ramblings on Friday, she pointed out that only dead fish float downstream. She's right--and that's her problem... she doesn't get it. Dead fish usually float downstream only after they've first struggled upstream to spawn. Unlike Sarah, the fish actually finish their task instead of giving up midstream.
  • Julescat · 4 months ago
you are missing the big picture. Control of the government is through Congress and the Senate. Palin is very popular with the Republican masses (not so much with the beltway crowd). Having Palin campaign for R candidates could help swing these seats into Republican control and help re-shape Congress and cut off Obumbles fascism express. Palin will help in this process as she will bring in the crowds for GOP candidates and also the donations. Dems won't be able to effectively criticize her as she will be a private citizen speaking her opinion. Sometimes being the king maker is better than being the king.

I'm out. I don't want to be a part of this. I dove in a couple of months ago because I thought it would be fun to send out some thoughts and read what others were thinking and have a conversation. I learned a lot. Some things I learned were good and some were not so good. Like it's not right to over generalize; if you use the same tactics to argue your point others use they don't like it; it hurts when someone attacks your character, even when they don't have a clue about who you are. A good thing I learned was I'm not the only one who sees things the way I do. But the hate and insults (some by me and I apologize) have taken a toll so I'm done. I'll leave you with something I teach my students each year:

Each of you is an important, one of a kind person. You are you for a very special reason.

You have been given gifts you need to discover and develop. Your gifts are as individual as you are and are intended to help you live a fulfilled life.

And, you are loved. There are people in your life who love you and support you. God loves you and cares about what happens to you.

This applies to all of us, even the ones we are arguing with, or who hold political office, so let's respect each other.

To any rational thinking person on here there is no point arguing with any right winger who thinks Palin has any political future. She quit on her state before things got bad. Let the palin boosters delude themselves, if we are in serious trouble in 2012 the country will never turn to an empty headed woman who runs when things get tough and likes to play the victim.
By the way public figures cannnot win a lawsuit for being criticized, it comes with being a public figure.
Palin is a great celebrity, maybe they should make her the gop chairman but politically she is over.

What does Spitzer and Kennedy have to do with what Palin did.Palin quit on her state, Spitzer broke the law and Kennedy has a substance abuse problem, neither has anything in common with what Palin did.. Spitzer is done but Kennedy can keep his seat as long as he wants. Seriously what Palin has done is unprecedented,
only someone who is blinded by her celebrity can actually think this country would ever trust her with the presidency.
  • Burntwood · 4 months ago
Palin is not my choice as a presidential candidate. However, lawsuits are not filed based on criticism. They are filed for defamation of character and slander. They must be proven to be false and libelous. As far as Palin being a great celebrity, that's why Obama was elected, for his celebrity. The evidence was in the exit polling when no one could intelligently answer why they voted for him or what he stood for. OUR AMERICAN IDOL PRESIDENT.
  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
Her legal counsel sent a four page letter to several entities and from the legal blogs I have read today, it's pretty extensive with a lot of substance. Slander is difficult to prove when someone is in the public eye but it is not impossible. The FBI came out and made a definitive statement that said NO WAY/NO HOW on the "criminal investigation" that Schuster and crowd were spreading yesterday.
  • dmhack · 4 months ago
Sarah's legal bluff hasn't scared the blogger she's threatening to go after. Like all things Sarah, this is just a lame threat with no legs.

Mrs. Palin is actually quite consistent . She quit college 5 times before getting her degree -- in journalism, ironic for someone who demonizes the press and interviews so badly.

I really am not sure what you are saying.

Yes, I do post on HuffPo, and I do read the KOS occassionally. I am conservative (if you are interested look up my bio on HuffPo), but I spend very little time reading/posting at conservative sites. I usually agree (for the most part) with the rational posters, and I don't care what the Wing Nuts rant about. So why waste my limited time. I am more interested in what people with an opposing political view are thinking. So, yes, I do visit those sites.

I have to admit that whatever your point is, yes, it is over my head. Should you wish to explain it differently, please do.

i agree with bill cyrstal- she may be crazy like a fox. like 1 1/2 yrs as governor won't help her much. now she needs money . normally her salary $100K + and todds $60k+ would be fine in alaska to raise family.
but now she needs $500k legal fees defending herself. guess what, all these politicians make their big money with speech's.

i noticed she caught hell for for her speech in indiana about 2 months ago. packed hall with outside speekers-20,000 + and then i hear joe biden just gave speech in penn. about 100.

hate her or not, this politician draws crowds, not for protest or hate, but just like her message.

by next yr. book(already signed) 2 mil-7 mil, many speechs for 50k-100k. she will be a rich lady.

remember,2008 election in georgia,i believe chamblis, run-off election. most polls had final about even with some show chambis meybe 2-3 pts ahead just 3 days before election.
guest what, sarah went from alaska to give speech's all over georgia and

chamblis won by 12 %- coincidence, not.

now, i wonder if next yrs politicians for congress will tell sarah not to get near them, or they will lose. they will draw straws to have her by their side.

yup, Sarah Palin is a leader that many, many average decent Americans are connecting with big time .... if she starts to tour the country due to big demand for speaking engagements, she may be a catalyst for the further building of oppo to the policies of this TOTUS .... it may be that the lurch to socialist big govt can be slowed down enough to avert utter catastrophe before the 2010 midterms .... we shall see ...

BTW, is there a separate Amendment to the C that allows Americans 'Freedom to Congregate' ... y'know, gather in groups? or is it part of the First? ..... I predict that crowds of oppo could grow wildly, bigger and bigger ..... the DHS may step in, siting 'domestic security of The Homeland' and Congress may be asked to pass legislation to limit, or regulate somehow, The Freedom to Gather .... we shall see ....

If there were millions, FOXnews would have been all over it. That's how I know.

And I've read some of your other posts, so I chose not to entertain your stupid question. Go to a library and figure it out your own damned self.
  • exodus2011 · 4 months ago
yikes JJ ..... didn't realise it was a stupid Q, it's true I could find out at a library, but I didn't think it would be a problem for someone who knew to just give the answer .... On reflection it seems to me that the 'freedom to assemble' must be one of the key freedoms covered by the First Amendment.

Concerning the reporting on July 4th protests, FOX have got many staff on holiday now as have most news networks, so it's much more unlikely that the full story will be told in the MSM for some days to come ....

She a little like Hitler where she's able to brainwash the masses into thinking she has something smart to say and give to the world. She is from the great state of Idaho though, so maybe those Nazi skinheads rubbed off during her community college transfer days.

I don't disagree that the R's are quite a bit like WWII Germany, but so are the D's. Both are marching towards tyranny hand in hand while you're here defending it, getting caught up in the irrelevant "family values" argument. Does it really matter if our slave master oligarchs call themselves a D or an R?

  • bjr · 4 months ago
Poor little Sarah Palin can't defend herself in the media. If she's looking to get a mans job she better start acting like one...Hillary sure does..she takes crap from nobody. Sarah is a loser! quitting as governor. She can't run her own family...teach her some of those conservative family values!
  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
I remember Hillary crying on the campaign trail; the media gave Hillary a hard time, but it was a piece of cake compared to the treatment of Palin and her family.
  • bjr · 4 months ago
If you love Sarah so much...why not go teach her some of those good Ol' fashioned family values. No wonder she quit as governor...she can't run or control her own family!!

Sarah did the right thing...the state needs to move forward...all these attacks on her keep the state government from doing what it needs to do. The lefties will never stop attacking a rising star in the GOP. Hence why the Republicans are reluctant to pick a leader because as soon as one is picked...he or she will be bashed and attacked like no other.

I hope Palin returns in the national spotlight somehow...in any shape or form.
  • Dumpling · 4 months ago
The Republicans are RELUCTANT to pick a leader?? LOL!

They don't HAVE any to choose from, so how can one be picked? For the party of dysfunction, you can't script this any better.

But by all means, it's has been fun to watch them in free fall.

    Really:

But what about Barack Obama? The guy’s a perpetual gaffe machine. Let us count the ways, large and small, that his tongue has betrayed him throughout the campaign:

    * Last May, he claimed that Kansas tornadoes killed a whopping 10,000 people: “In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed.” The actual death toll: 12.

*Earlier this month in Oregon, he redrew the map of the United States: “Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.”

*Last week, in front of a roaring Sioux Falls, South Dakota audience, Obama exulted: “Thank you Sioux City…I said it wrong. I’ve been in Iowa for too long. I’m sorry.”

*Explaining last week why he was trailing Hillary Clinton in Kentucky, Obama again botched basic geography: “Sen. Clinton, I think, is much better known, coming from a nearby state of Arkansas. So it’s not surprising that she would have an advantage in some of those states in the middle.” On what map is Arkansas closer to Kentucky than Illinois?

*Obama has as much trouble with numbers as he has with maps. Last March, on the anniversary of the Bloody Sunday march in Selma, Alabama, he claimed his parents united as a direct result of the civil rights movement:

“There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born.”

Obama was born in 1961. The Selma march took place in 1965. His spokesman, Bill Burton, later explained that Obama was “speaking metaphorically about the civil rights movement as a whole.”

*Earlier this month in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Obama showed off his knowledge of the war in Afghanistan by honing in on a lack of translators: “We only have a certain number of them and if they are all in Iraq, then it’s harder for us to use them in Afghanistan.” The real reason it’s “harder for us to use them” in Afghanistan: Iraqis speak Arabic or Kurdish. The Afghanis speak Pashto, Farsi, or other non-Arabic languages.

*Over the weekend in Oregon, Obama pleaded ignorance of the decades-old, multi-billion-dollar massive Hanford nuclear waste clean-up:

“Here’s something that you will rarely hear from a politician, and that is that I’m not familiar with the Hanford, uuuuhh, site, so I don’t know exactly what’s going on there. (Applause.) Now, having said that, I promise you I’ll learn about it by the time I leave here on the ride back to the airport.”

I assume on that ride, a staffer reminded him that he’s voted on at least one defense authorization bill that addressed the “costs, schedules, and technical issues” dealing with the nation’s most contaminated nuclear waste site.

*Last March, the Chicago Tribune reported this little-noticed nugget about a fake autobiographical detail in Obama’s “Dreams from My Father:”

“Then, there’s the copy of Life magazine that Obama presents as his racial awakening at age 9. In it, he wrote, was an article and two accompanying photographs of an African-American man physically and mentally scarred by his efforts to lighten his skin. In fact, the Life article and the photographs don’t exist, say the magazine’s own historians.”

    * And in perhaps the most seriously troubling set of gaffes of them all, Obama told a Portland crowd over the weekend that Iran doesn’t “pose a serious threat to us”–cluelessly arguing that “tiny countries” with small defense budgets can’t do us harm– and then promptly flip-flopped the next day, claiming, “I’ve made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave.”

    http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/tobyharnden/9...

Biden is a perpetual gaffer. No wonder Obama thiks he can balance the budget, he is counting on those other 7 states.

Even in overseas news reports now the rumour about a pending Sarah Palin indictment is being addressed .... They are reporting that the FBI has come out and categorically refuted this rumour declaring that Sarah Palin is not under investigation. The overseas news services are commenting on this statement by the FBI because it is so unusual ..... it is more customary for an FBI statement to follow 'will neither confirm nor deny' specifications .... in this case they are openly
    declaring non-involvement.

Sarah Palin could well emerge as the leader to whom the grassroots will gravitate in the weeks/months ahead .... maybe the lurch to the left can be slowed down some, and then the midterms in 2010 will be an opportunity for America to speak again concerning their leadership. That's one possible scenario - we shall see as events unfold ...

Like your use of metaphors - they really convey your viewpoint, but I really don't think SP has that ego you have ascribed to her. I believe she is stalwartly opposed to big govt and will do all she can to garner support against it, but it doesn't have to be her who is the nominee for POTUS ....

Nice to meetcha cry, and have this conversation with ya, up here in the clean fresh verbal air ... whew ... *__*

For all the netroots desperate to believe the numerous lies posted on the web about Palin's many, many illegal dealings, the FBI has put out a statement to let everyone know Palin is not under investigation for anything.

WOULD YOU RIGHTIES QUIT YOUR DAMN WHINING!!!
We listened to your anti-Obama/anti-Michelle crap for months and when we finally have an "anti" thread of our own you get all butt-hurt and whine like little biatches!!
FINALLY there's a thread balanced in our favor and all you guys can do is talk about how shocking it is what's going on here.
    Hah!!!

Nothing being said in this thread hasn't been said by you guys in countless Obama/Michelle rants repeatedly, over and over, since January.

IF YOU CAN'T TAKE IT THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T DISH IT OUT SO MUCH.
    HOW DOES IT FEEL NOW!!!LOL!!1

"WOULD YOU RIGHTIES QUIT YOUR DAMN WHINING!!!
We listened to your anti-Obama/anti-Michelle crap for months and when we finally have an "anti" thread of our own you get all butt-hurt and whine like little biatches!!"

Whining? Oh I see, when we disagree, it's whining. I have rarely said a thing about Obama. I think
the worst I ever said was, he was a lib. I am also pretty sure, I never said a word about Michelle.Yeah, you can check. And
where do you get 'finally have an anti thread" ? You guys had a good time with Mark Sanford and
your friends went to town on Prejean.

"Nothing being said in this thread hasn't been said by you guys in countless Obama/Michelle rants repeatedly, over and over, since January."

Show me some close to this.....""I've already spilled the beans...she's carrying Levi's child. What a stud that hockey hottie is. Hockey Moms Spread Their Legs 4 Younger Boys"

"Sarah has a nice hockey black book and had them boys rotating in and out of the governors mansion."

When I posted my disgust for this you mocked me. Why? You never answered. You dont agree with this I am sure. Maybe, because you know I am a "righty" as you say. I must therefore be a
hypocrite. Or since you posted as if I was a religous zealot, I must be making judgements. Or
since your true colors have now come out, it must be to provide cover for your fellow libs. Or maybe
it's just that your the only one here who is fair and can be outraged.

Are you not the fair man who posted this....."*sigh*
Until then can the two sides stop hating each other, please?
I am so tired of all the name calling.
When you hate the other party in America's 2 party system you are hating and disrespecting America imho."

"What makes most of you people think you are any better, or even different, than Bill and Keith?
Most of you are much worse.
And you have no idea how your words might inflame someone.
And this site is not one tenth as bad a most of the others."

"I wanna hear you denounce the kinda bomb-throwing dialog that your side has been throwing around.
As a democrat, I condemn the same thing when it was done to Judge Thomas.
    Dispicable from both sides.
My Character can only condemn that kind of debate.
I think it harms our country.
But I guess you either don't see that or don't mind it. "

    "Yup.
    You are correct.
    They have that right.
And they have the right to call her a "man" and a "bitch" and a "c*nt" and every other name in the book that they used.

    That doesn't make it right.
It is not the way to discuss important issues in this country.
    They are rotten, pathetic people.
And they hurt their own cause imo.

There is a BIG difference between "having a right" and "being right".
You have the right to cheat on your wife in this country.
    That don't make it right.
That's the way "heart" works, really.
You like to see people be happy and act decently toward each other no matter if they agree with your principles or not.
But some people enjoy seeing those they disagree with abused and destroyed.
And they justify it a thousand ways.
    They are sad people."

Check my posts and see if I have ever attacked anyone here. I am sure I have name called but only
after being attacked first. I am also not some crybaby who acts outraged at every little thing. I think the only other time I got disgusted was (and coincidentally) about Palin. Here was the comment ..." And also, someone who professes such great values, she can't control her tramp of a daughter of hers.
Hockey moms are insulted by her.

Bad mom. Period!!/ love being blue"

And this is what I posted "You know I read the first part and got angry and was going to respond then, like you I saw that "tramp of a daughter " and was stunned."

And the thing is, I am no big Palin fan. I like her, yes. But I dont think she is the best person to run
for Prez. I dont have a problem with you guys saying she made a mistake and killed her chances
for 2012.I feel the same way. I dont have a problem with questioning her knowledge or intellect. I
disagree, but that's opinions.I dont care for the rumors, but that's being partisan. I wont cry about it. But the personal attacks are too much. The person I called out, pretty much called her a whore
and a pedophile. Even if it were true, I dont think it is something to gloat about.

And this is just childish....."IF YOU CAN'T TAKE IT THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T DISH IT OUT SO MUCH.
    HOW DOES IT FEEL NOW!!!LOL!!1
    Hypocrites."

I have never cried about personal attacks. I dont like them. But this was the first time I have ever made
a point about it. They go both ways but this was way out of line.

If it don't relate to you, then don't worry about it.

But you are still whining about how she is getting super extra special horrible treatment. Boo hoo.

    Bullshit.

You haven't been in the minority on this site like we lefty's have, and we notice the vitriol that's been spewed here day after day.
The inappropriate name calling and personal attacks against Barack, Michelle and Hillary.

Hillary got it a lot worse and a lot longer than Sarah did.

"But the personal attacks are too much."
    HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Are you retarded??!?!?!
How can you EVEN SAY THAT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!!!!!!!
DO YOU KNOW WHAT GOES ON HERE!?!?!?!

    But go ahead, whine more.

  • karris56 · 4 months ago
So, again like you always do, at least with me, is avoid my main question. I once said you were "dishonest ' with Beck and you posted that you would not be called dishonest and went into a little
tantrum about it. I thought you were being a little baby about nothing and were feigning mock outrage. I gave you the benefit of the doubt tho, and apologized. I was right the first time. And your calling me a whiner?

"But you are still whining about how she is getting super extra special horrible treatment. Boo hoo."

.I complained about one poster's attack .That's it.I made it clear in my post that I have no problem with everything else .But you ignore all that and twist it to make me the baby. Whatever

"You haven't been in the minority on this site like we lefty's have, and we notice the vitriol that's been spewed here day after day."

Who's the real whiner? Boo hoo.Try being a righty. You watch all the nets and they all lean left. Read most newspapers and it's the same. Most journalists are left. Most colleges have lefty profs.
The prez now caters to the left bloggers at the W.H. Lefty bloggers are much more featured
on cable than righties. You even have the star at MSNBC blog at one and use their material often.
We have talk radio and Fox. And all the libs do is whine about it. SOME even want the fairness doctrine. And you call us whiners?

"The inappropriate name calling and personal attacks against Barack, Michelle and Hillary."

Again, show me where I have ever attacked any of them. You cant, so you lump me in with
all righties. I am not the hall monitor here. I see it both ways and stay out. I also do not read every single post or thread. Most of my posts are on topic. Cable news. Not politics. A small percentage
of time,I am drawn in. This attack on Palin was over the line. If you cant just admit that, fine. Point
to other bad behavior. Isn't that what you tell us over and over. Typical lib.

Show me where Obama and Hillary's kids were attacked. Show me where Michelle or Hillary were
referred to as sluts or pedaphiles. The only thing I agree with you on is, Hillary got it longer.
  • Demo · 4 months ago
I could show you we're Barack was called "shit brown" and I could show you were Michelle was called "monkey ugly" but I ain't gonna waste my time searching.
    Righties never complained about that.
As a matter of fact, those comments got many "likes".
I complained about it on both sides.
But for you guys to act outraged now is the height of hypocrisy.

    I said my piece.
Deal with it or not, I don't give a crap.
  • karris56 · 4 months ago
Again, you avoid my main question. You are a smart man.I asked why you mocked me. Another asked why you hate religion or something to that effect. You posted all over the place
after on this thread but did not answer our questions. Why? I asked you twice again and you change the subject.

" Righties never complained about that.
As a matter of fact, those comments got many "likes".

Righties? You generalize.Show me where I posted any crap like that. If you could see where posters give likes on other posts you would see I did not post a like. I did not see them. Are you
saying because righties post some hate it is o.k. for you libs. No, you cant do that because
you have jumped on your high horse more than a few times, to claim pointing to bad behavior
does not excuse other bad behavior.

I complain about one post I thought was over the line. One. You were having a lot of fun cheerleading
and did not like me putting a damper on your party. You know I am a righty so you paint me a zealot to dismiss my post. There is nothing in my other posts to suggest I am a a fanatic or even deeply
religous. Yet, I am a righty so who cares if I am not. That is the way I will be percieved. You dont
want to agree it was over the line to stop your fun. You cant point to righties posting bad things either because it goes against your bad behavior credo. So, mocking is the best way to dismiss the
    point of my post.

If I made a few posts that complained about others and they were all against the left you have a bit
of an argument. I have made one. One. If I attacked Obama, Michelle, or Hillary you have an argument. I have not. You avoid and change the argument when asked why you have a problem with
my complaint. You bring up hate from the right as a reason to attack without specifically saying that post was o.k. because the right does the same. You generalize, trying not to break your bad behavior credo. After all that would be so...Republican.

You cant point to any attacks I have made, so again, you generalize. Righties do the same. Payback. You have finally shown your true lib self. Do me favor and dont give me one of your witty
retorts or change the subject. Save it. I am the one who does not give a crap. You twisted my point
on you being dishonest on a subject once.Let me be clear here. You are dishonest. Oh, is that a personal attack? Boo hoo.

    I'm not in kindergarden.
My opinion is the righties in this topic have a lot of nerve to be complaining about "personal" insults.

BO has mastered the art of persuadable lying. Whenever he says ANYTHING you can count on the opposite being true, from something as simple as claiming that his daughters should experience a public school education while trotting them off to private school to his christian claim and yet to be photographed going to or coming from church to his assertion that he would have the most open administration. Please. So I am absolutely, no fan of Hussein. That being said, I love Sarah Palin for the things she stands for. I love her strength of character and her ability to roll with the punches. But when she talks she sounds like a young teenager. I love her personally but I don't think she can convince enough people(voters) to get behind her.

  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
There were lots of tea parties across the nation yesterday. Weather 10 or 10000 attended one or several matters not. They happened, they are real. Just because MSM doesn't cover them doesn't mean they didn't happen.

Estimated 25,000 attended one in Texas. Thousands attended the event in Nashville. Thousands showed up in Morristown, NJ. Three thousand people in Nevada Tea Parties. Hundreds showed up in Quincy, MA, thousands at another one in MA. Other events drew thousands as well, to include South Carolina, Indiana, Idaho, Arkansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Florida, New Mexico, even Connecticut.
  • Demo · 4 months ago

Hmmmmm...a month ago people were screaming on this site, "YOU WAIT AND SEE, THEY WILL BE GROWING, THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, AMERICA IS WAKING UP!!!".

Now that they didn't actually grow, attendance is not important. LOL
I guarantee that if they did double in size the right would be strutting their stuff all over this site and attendance WOULD be important.
  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
I don't recall people screaming that demo, but I don't doubt your word. The tea parties will continue....some will get attention, most won't. It just reminds everyone that the media selectively covers stories that meet their agenda, not the people's agenda.

The top taxed states are all run by Liberals. Which state has the lowest tax burden? Why it's Alaska! Surprise, surprise.

    Tax Burden By State
If all other things are equal, a state with a lower burden is a more attractive place to retire than a state with a higher one. To get a true sense of which state is less expensive, you need to look at state and local tax burdens. Only then do the low tax states stand out.

It is estimated by the Tax Foundation that the nation as a whole will pay on average 9.7% of its income in state and local taxes in 2008, down from 9.9% in 2007 primarily because income grew faster than tax collections between 2007 and 2008.

New Jersey residents paid 11.8%, topping the charts. New Yorkers were close behind, paying 11.7%, and Connecticut was third at 11.1%. The top 10 were rounded out by Maryland (10.8%), Hawaii (10.6%), California (10.5%), Ohio (10.4%). Vermont (10.3%), Wisconsin (10.2%) and Rhode Island (10.2%).

Alaskans pay the least, 6.4 percent in 2008, but Nevada is close at 6.6 percent. In four states the residents pay between 7 and 8 percent of their income in state and local taxes: Wyoming (7.0%), Florida (7.4%), New Hampshire (7.6%) and South Dakota (7.9%). Four other states round out the bottom 10: Tennessee (8.3%), Texas (8.4%), Louisiana (8.4%) and Arizona (8.5%).

Hey JJ, did Sarah actually tell 'lies' or was it more that you don't like her views about govt and the direction the country should take? .... you don't like her personally (her winking, physical comeliness, personality etc), you don't like her values and you don't like the fact that she chose to not abort a DS child, (and worse than that she CUDDLED and LOVED her DS baby! in front of 38 million + Americans last September) .... you don't like the way she appeals to multitudes of average Americans ..... or, maybe it is 'all of the above'?

and perhaps I have erred in using the phrase 'you don't like' and it would be more accurate to say 'you hate' instead ....
  • JunkJunk · 4 months ago
You, my friend, are an IDIOT. I commend her for having her child. You're the moron trying to imply that I want DS babies to be aborted. That is one of many reasons why I do not like people like you and Sarah Palin: she trots out her baby Trig for sympathies and tries to turn average Americans like me into abortion-loving fiends.

And NO - I do not hate that woman. I think she's wrong for America, much in the same way neocons believe Obama is wrong for America,

In my ENTIRE time on this board, I have never said a NEGATIVE word about her baby.

You are a coward and a deplorable human being for trying to USE her child as some sort of wedge.

I have been trying to discover the actual source of the filth that I have seen spewing forth from so many people ... and obviously have been guilty of misjudgement ....

So JJ, what is your view as to the reason for so many crude and filthy posts that emanate whenever Sarah Palin is discussed? .... is it just human nature .... what causes her to be singled out for this kind of treatment? I can understand people disagreeing with her and it is common of course for people to call others morons and idiots when they have been offended, but I just can't fathom why there is this foul sexual stuff spewed out over and over again against her ....

Sarah was a very accomplished Governor, which is why it was never reported by MSM. MoDo looks like a true fool in today NYTimes attack on Palin -- just more garbage from the Times (hopefully soon to fold).

I eagerly await the backlash against MSM for the malicious and personal attacks on Palin; it is coming. I note they are in defensive mode today, claiming SHE played the victim card....she is on offense, they are on defense.

The bloggers spreading the false story on a "criminal investigation" are already backing off their claims due to her being on the offense. It will be fun to watch over the next several months.
  • JunkJunk · 4 months ago
All the "accomplishments" in the world can't make up for the fact that she is a QUITTER. And she gave no coherent reason as to why. She is definitely the one on defense, because the media will not accept her rambling "reasoning" for why she is QUITTING.

Now, she can't even say that she was a one-term governor. Her national political career is over. And who's to say that that is not what she wanted all along - to be the next Rush Limbaugh - in lipstick (that was quite some imagery there...).
  • TinafromTampa · 4 months ago
Just more double standards from the lefties. When Dole resigned to run he was praised. Typical.

Obama, McCain, Biden, Clinton all maintained their "senate salaries" while running for president, continuing to abuse us tax payers for taking money while doing nothing.

As I said, time will tell how this all plays out, but right now, I see more in her camp than out of it (and I'm not talking about the beltway insiders who don't like her because she is not in their "class" (and thats a quote from an on-air elitist).
  • JunkJunk · 4 months ago
Are you kidding? Bob Dole was a senator from 1968 to 1996 before he resigned. Palin couldn't even finish her first 4 year term. Weak.
  • Beavis_from_Boston · 4 months ago
    She did not!!!
Polls showed that he dominated her in the debate.

    Survey USA: Biden 51% Palin 32%Undecided 17%.
MediaCurves.com tracked independent voters, showing them breaking to Biden 67% to Palin 33%.
    CNN/Opinion Research: Biden 51 Palin 36.
    CBS: Biden 46 Palin 21.
    Fox: Biden 61 Palin 39.

You must really like her no matter what she says.
You're in the minority here and can't think rationale if you think she's a good candidate, let alone won the debate.

The woman is a total loon, as a public figure she can never win a lawsuit, almost impossible to prove malice and when you threaten to sue everyone it makes your whole point absurd.
It is scary that a certain % actually consider this lightweight a possible leader of the world, scary!

I'm comming from the middle on this but I can't see her being successful as a presidential candidate unless she gains voters outside the far right wing. It also depends on who runs against her of course and if the economy comes back. Just an observation....
  • Spursbox · 4 months ago
I think you make a very valid point. It reminds me of the position that most viewed Reagan in during the late 70's.

However, high unemployment, high inflation, high taxes and high interest rates caused many to rethink their allegiances and Reagan won going away. I suspect we may find a very similar situation in 2012.
  • ReallyNow · 4 months ago
I agree. The first time I voted was for Jimmy Carter. After four years of his well intentioned meanderings our country was in bad shape. Worse than when Obama took over. I see a lot of parallels to that time today. The main difference is Obama is way to the left of Carter. I guess you could say I'm a Reagan Democrat. When Reagan ran he faced the same low brow attacks you see on Bush and Palin. It makes some libs feel superior to call Republicans dumb. Libs do it every time. They can't win an argument against their policies so they get personal. I was willing to give Obama a chance until he named Rahm Emmanuel as his Chief of Staff. Naming him proved all this "new politics" talk was nothing but a campaign tactic. I think this has been proven out by the way the Democrats have governed and by the disgusting attacks you see on this blog.

After four years of this, the country will be ready for another conservative to set the country back on its feet.
  • Spursbox · 4 months ago
    Thanks Really Now.

I think there are many folks who feel as you do. If things continue on this path, there will be many, many more by the time 2012 rolls around.

Set the country back on it's feet! LOL Yeah Bush left us last year on very very solid ground...way to go and pat yourself on the back for that. Wage wars and create huge budget deficits while cutting taxes on the wealthy the entire 8 years. Oh way to go...that's just what we need right now is another conservative to get us out of this mess.
  • ReallyNow · 4 months ago
Wow! Then it must have really made you mad when Bush tripled the deficit and doubled-down in Afghanistan! Oh wait, that was Obama.

The economy was doing just fine until the Democrats took over congress. Even when the Republicans spent like drunken Democrats libs weren't happy. If Republicans had stuck to conservative policies most of this mess wouldn't have happened.

    The Forgotten Man
Eight months after he got hit by Channel 7 anchorman Rick Sanchez's Volvo, Jeffrey Smuzinick is doing poorly. His family is just plain doing poor.

    By Sean Rowe
    published: August 07, 1991

He was one of these guys you see on Friday afternoon at the 7-Eleven, stocking up on beer for the weekend, maybe buying some Lotto tickets, then piling into a battered van with his buddies and cranking up Zeta-4 on the radio. It would be nice to say his skills as a carpenter were renowned at the swank enclaves of Williams Island and Turnberry Isle where he worked. In truth, the people who live in the houses he built never paid much attention to Jeffrey Smuzinick.
And these days they don't even see him. A friend recalls that Smuzinick used to put down his hammer at midday and speed into town for legendary lunches -"a dozen oysters, ten chicken wings (hot), fish sandwich (plain), and an order of French fries." Now, in a South Dade nursing home, the 32-year-old Pembroke Pines man is learning to drink pureed spaghetti through a straw.

Minutes after midnight on the morning of December 10, 1990, an intoxicated Smuzinick darted out in front of a Volvo on a residential street near Joe Robbie Stadium. The driver of the car, WSVN-TV Channel 7 anchorman Rick Sanchez, became the subject of a subsequent January 16 New Times story that described the odd circumstances of the accident. Sanchez, whom a Metro-Dade police officer said "smelled strongly of alcohol," first stopped his car but then later left the scene. A blood test to determine Sanchez's sobriety was not administered until an hour and fifteen minutes after the collision. Though Sanchez says he tried to aid Smuzinick at the scene of the accident and flag down motorists, eyewitnesses claim the anchorman ignored the injured man and loudly told police and bystanders that blood tests were pointless, and would hurt his public image.

Best known for his stint as a sometimes-melodramatic correspondent on Channel 7's "Crime Check," Sanchez continues his work on the station's evening and late newscasts while awaiting a September 13 court date on misdemeanor drunk-driving charges. Though the results of one test show the newsman's blood-alcohol level was .15 -slightly over the legal .10 limit - the test was performed after Sanchez left the scene of the accident. In January Sanchez told New Times he had consumed no alcohol the night of the accident. His attorney, Richard Essen, now says the anchorman returned home and had "a couple of drinks to calm his nerves" before returning to the scene. Essen doubts that Sanchez's DUI charge will ever come to trial. "I think the results of the blood tests will be thrown out," the lawyer says. "If the results of the blood tests are suppressed, then there is no evidence against him at all. The state cannot proceed."

Meanwhile, after two months in a coma, Smuzinick has regained consciousness and is making slow improvement. His right side remains largely paralyzed due to massive brain damage, but he can move his left arm and leg and sometimes hold his head upright. Using hand signals, he can answer yes or no to simple questions. Doctors last Friday removed a feeding tube from his trachea, and Smuzinick can now eat liquid foods. He has indicated that he hopes he can soon move from HealthSouth Regional Rehabilitation Center in Cutler Ridge to the town house in Pembroke Pines he purchased and finished remodeling shortly before the accident.

"The first eighteen months after an accident like this are crucial," says Dr. Kenneth Fischer, a neurologist who treated Smuzinick at North Shore Hospital until March 21. "Whether or not he will improve further is hard to say. It's very unlikely he will ever be able to function independently or converse spontaneously."

Though Smuzinick's health insurance policy covers most of his medical costs, it doesn't pay for rehabilitative care. Family members say unpaid bills for physical therapy now total about $81,000. To save money, they have removed Smuzinick from the clinic's head-injury program. Using videotapes to learn therapy techniques, friends, relatives, and former co-workers have begun to provide a semblance of the rehabilitation program they can't afford.

One friend of the family, Kelli Crist, has distributed flyers describing the accident involving Smuzinick and Sanchez. The flyers list Crist's phone number (680-2741) and request donations to help pay for treatment and therapy. So far the fund-raising effort has not gone well.

"Nobody seems to be interested," Crist says. "We must have passed out 5000 flyers in Miami alone. Yours was the first phone call I've received."

Smuzinick's fiancee, Jackie Stringhill, says it's just as well that Sanchez hasn't paid a visit to Smuzinick since the accident. "I guess his attitude bothers a lot of people. But we have enough to think about. We have our hands full. We don't really talk about the accident much any more. Anyway," she adds resignedly, "as far as Sanchez goes, what goes around comes around.

There is something more to this. What is the evil queen of Alaska hiding? Did she kill someone and bury their body behind the Governor's mansion? Did she wire tax payers money into her personal bank account? Is she pregnant again?

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised by anything that is revealed because Palin is such a freaky Republican like Mark Sanford. There are a lot of questions to be answered in both the Sanford and Palin freak shows and the media must make every effort to get to the bottom of this. I want answers NOW!!!

David Wallechinsky of HP thinks Fox News is the motivation:

Why settle for being the governor of a state with a population the size of Columbus, Ohio, when you can have triple the audience with your own show on Fox News? And why settle for the paltry salary of a state executive when you can make millions on television? When you're a politician and you want to spend $150,000 on clothes, you get in trouble, but spend the same amount on clothes as a talk show host and it's a legitimate tax write-off.

My favorite moments from the article:

    >>"Caribou Barbie is one nutty puppy."

"...their governor had a solipsistic meltdown so strange it made Sparky Sanford look like a model of stability."

"She can hunt wolves from the air and field-dress a moose, but she fears being a lame duck?"

"Why not? Palin/Sanford in 2012, with the slogan: 'Save time — we’re already in Crazy Town.'"

"She refuses to succumb to the 'politics of personal destruction.' It’s no fun unless she’s the one aiming those poison darts, as she did when she accused Barack Obama of associating 'with terrorists who targeted their own country.'"<<

Thanks for the link, Same! I'm not holding my breath on that whole 'pay to play' business with her house, but it's certainly not out of the realm of possibilities. Just look at how her lawyers are attacking the media for merely mentioning it - going so far as to threaten a relatively obscure blogger (Shannyn Moore) with civil slander lawsuits.

The LAST thing you do is threaten the media, because they'll come at you like, well, a pitbull (sans lipstick).

Why let facts get in the way of an ideological movement. Hypno-critical libs whined and cried about Cheney-Halliburton but remain silent on Obama-Immelt and Obama-ACORN. Obama claims "the most transparency" of any administration. EVEN Helen Thomas railed against Gibbs for their penchant for canned questions and hand-picked correspondents. But those are facts. Facts are Jersey barriers to liberals. I imagine Glenn Beck would be frightening to one such as yourself since his central themes are principles and personal responsibility, terrifying concepts for liberals because they possess neither.

Sarah Palin would never become president. The media has been extremely brutal and it has damaged her image. The GOP has to find someone else. It's all about image now. Policies are irrelevant. High school popularity contests have replaced elections now. The GOP needs to get it. Look at how the cable "news" outlets have been covering the "news" the last two weeks. Face it, America is nothing but a celebrity-obsessed nation. Sad but true.

There you go trying to push the false left-right paradigm. It isn't left vs. right, it's liberty vs. tyranny. The country hasn't moved right or left since you were born. It doesn't matter which false choice gets elected, the country continues to move towards tyranny. They like to get you all wrapped up in the fake argument of which fascist policy is better than the other, but they are all fascist policies. Why choose either evil? Both do not have our best interests in mind, only their own and their mega-corporation crony friends. Choose liberty, trust yourself and your fellow citizens, not the government. The government lies, from both sides of the aisle.

"And the Republican Party continues to implode upon itself."

As myself and many others predicted. Now it's the D's turn. they can not survive without each other. They play the voters off each other arguing the minute details of legislation and thus avoid the obvious, that they don't have the right to do what they want to do to us. This forces people to choose sides and defend arguments that fundamentally go against what is best for the people. The fascist state we live in requires two sides to distract us with false arguments so we can not see what they are really going to do to us.

The federal government has two boots, one with a D on it and one with an R, both of them want to crush your head.

I'm trying to understand this, as reported by ABC:

With the clock running out on a new US-Russian arms treaty before the previous Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or START, expires on December 5, a senior White House official said Sunday said that the difficulty of the task might mean temporarily bypassing the Senate’s constitutional role in ratifying treaties by enforcing certain aspects of a new deal on an executive levels and a “provisional basis” until the Senate ratifies the treaty.
