it's true that folks have withdrawn from the republican party registry in big numbers .... only the 'moderates' are left

there is a SWATHE of conservatives swelling the Independent ranks now (latest national pew poll, 40% identify as conservative, 20% as liberal)

only chance dems have of keeping control of Congress 2010 is if BHO gets those unemployment figures down ..... REAL figures are near 20% at present ...... current economic policies are job killers, so it doesn't look good for the dems

Interesting to follow the short career, thus far, of the dem hero of NY-23 ......... Mr Bill Owens ..... he has already broken 4 of his campaign promises ...... hmmm .... sat in the interrogation chair in Mdme Pelosi's office, and she broke him as he received the first cup of coffee

By giving the dems ny-23 you made it easier for the healthcare bill to pass. If people were so unhappy the dems should have lost both special elections. Except for rasmussen no poll has Obama under 50% and health care according to gallup is supported 41-40% so it's a tossup.
If you expect a repeat of 1994 you will be very disappointed, the country has no use for republicans.

•Speaker Pelosi has just un-muzzled Rachel Maddow's millions of pro-abortion lefties to leash 40 yappy pro-life blue dogs.

•Unemployment is a serial killer blackmailing for more stimulus money and promising to slash wing-tipped political throats.

•Democrats act giddy after losing two big state governors and narrowly winning NY23, but not against any real republican.

•Blue state Independents are fleeing liberal rule in historic numbers and trampling town hall's everywhere blood red.

•The current president is trapped in a sticky web of unmasked illusions and inescapable lies unspun by his oily alter ego.

•In 2010 and 2012 the GOP may rise again from the ranks of W's rotting undead to bury Obama's Id.

I've been watching KO for 2 weeks now and have never seen a conservative interviewed. KO has only had pro liberal guests. Remember he and RM have been briefed by the WH. It would be hard to make a case that KO needs to fair if he's just hawking his opinion. Unfortunately, many of his watchers don't understand what an opinion is. (hint: everyone has one)

That was a proud day for many of us Americans twenty years ago when we watched your citizens stand up and tear that wall to pieces.
Yes, it was Reagan and Bush that stood up to Gorby and covered your backs while you tore it down. We are proud of Reagan and Bush for their parts, but that in no way should diminish the pride the German people should have in themselves.
Well done to all involved.
(and Obama is an embarrassment to many of us over here as well) Everybody should have the God given rights that we enjoy as expressed in our Constitution. People just need to gain the will and the power to take their rights. And looking at what is going on here, we need to fight like Hell to keep and protect those rights.
