Watching Obama on TV discussing the tragedy at Ft. Hood and the economy. Once again, he reverts to the "we inherited" meme. Disgraceful, he is no leader.

"Saved or created" jobs is a joke.

He won't rest....right, he will only play b-ball and have parties in the White House every week.

Unfortunately, the Fox "Business" audience don't really care too much about unemployment hitting 10%...considering they're all over the age of 65, retired and poor.

...now waiting for the inevitable "Obama FAIL" comments.
  • DrElephant · 1 month ago
    C'mon CBB. You're better than that. :)

Besides, no one knows who watches FBN anyway. There aren't any published numbers.
  • campbellbrownbear · 1 month ago
Actually, yes...yes we do. I posted this earlier:

Don Imus On Fox Business Is Drawing Terrible Demographics

-All FBN programs from 6AM to 4PM have a median age above 65.
-93% of Imus' audience is over the age of 55 .
-57% of Imus' audience is over the age of 65 .
-Imus' 6AM (54K) and 8AM (55K) hours are the lowest median income hours for FBN and are among those with the lowest median income in all of cable news.

    Any other questions?
  • Keith Olberman Lies Daily · 1 month ago
You sound just like the naysayers about Fox News when they first started.

    What are they saying now?

Its a fact that liberal owned cable companies REFUSE to carry FBN so they are in 1/3 the households that CNBC is.
  • Keiths Koolaid Stand · 1 month ago
Yes thats true, the loons in the democrat party hate the fact that Fox News is so successfull and beating their beloved MSNBC by millions every day. Now they will lie about FBN too to keep them from many cable outlets.
  • Off2SeeTheLizard · 1 month ago
How is it a lie if the stats show that no one is watching Fox Biz? Truth hurts the wingnut crowd so very much, particularly when it's about their beloved Fox Biz.

Of course a doofus like you would cheer for that.
  • IhateKoolAid · 1 month ago
Hey tool Imus in the Morning and Squawk are two different types of show. Squawk is business themed while Imus is more about politcs themed. It kind of is like comparing WCBS and WFAN in NYC. WCBS has sports updates every 20 mins while WFAN is all sports.
  • Keith Olberman Lies Daily · 1 month ago
Don Imus gives Fox Business Network first ratings victory over CNBC

The Imus show, a simulcast of the radio program heard on WABC (770 AM), averaged 148,000 viewers a day for the first week, which began Oct. 5.

That put Fox Business a few thousand viewers ahead of CNBC for the first time since FBN went on the air two years ago.
Imus retained about 75% of his audience for the period, and helped propel Fox Business to its highest overall ratings for a week.
  • Julescat · 1 month ago
good thing Obumbles pushed that stimulus through without reading it! Kept unemployment below 8%? bwahahahaha. epic Obumbling failure!
  • Off2SeeTheLizard · 1 month ago

Ah didnt Obama say without the stimulus unemployment would go to 8%?

Now with Obamas bankrupting stimulus plan its now 10.2%

Please keep it up, in the 2010 elections over 100 democrats will be kicked out of congress for going along with Obamas disastorus plans.
  • Surmar · 1 month ago
So, what is the next number that Obama would say Unemployment will not reach? 11? 12? 15? 20? 35?

It seems the Number they promise it won't reach to, will be the number it becomes.
  • Spursbox · 1 month ago
The sad thing is it really appears that Obama doesn't have a problem with a 10% unemployment rate. If this was truly important there are things he could have done/ could be doing to reverse the trend. He simply doesn't want to.

*Cutting business taxes would be a good start.
*How many jobs did Obama personally kill when he spoke out against companies holding off-sites in Las Vegas?
*Offering a real stimulus program would have been nice.
*Instead the Dems used the "crisis" to create a $787 Billion payoff to cronies and supporters. Almost no jobs created here. The few that have been created have cost well over 6 figures - per job!
*higher taxes and ending the Bush tax cuts will result in higher unemployment yet to come.

    Really very sad.

    Obama is lying again.

he is saying that the housing rebound made GDP go up last Q

He is such a liar, the 20 billion spent on cash for clunkers made it a false reading of 3.5% You know where Obama spent 27 THOUSAND per car to get a 4000 rebate?
  • Off2SeeTheLizard · 1 month ago
Let me guess--you get your economic info from Fox Biz right? Well at lease we know now who 5 of their 10 viewers are. I mean ratings are all that matters right? So if Fox Biz is on the bottom of the pile well that means they don't count right?

    Year ago

    Today 3.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

20 million Americans out of work.
  • Off2SeeTheLizard · 1 month ago
US deficit when Clinton left office? 0. Budget surplus when Clinton left office? $Over 500 billion. Budget deficit when Bush took office? Zero. Budget deficit when Bush left office? Over $400 billion.

And who signed the first bail out for the Wall Streeters.....hmmm...what was the name of that president.....oh right, Bush boy.

    And you were saying?
  • Keiths Koolaid Stand · 1 month ago
Wrong----the clinton "surplus" was not real it was fiction on paper that was created by Clintons dot com bubble, when that burst the deficits grew and were handed off to Bush. And if there was not a republican congress to stop clinton from spending that "surplus" would have been a trillion dollar deficit.

Obama was consulted with Bush about the Tarp ans Obama wanted that bailout so Bush agreed since he wanted to help Obama.
  • Keith Olberman Lies Daily · 1 month ago
You forgot the thing called 911? That was caused by Clintons slashing Americas defense and intelligence.

In the three short years since Pelosi-Reid seized Congress in Nov 2006 8 million people have lost their jobs and people are becoming desperate. The Obama election has accelerated America's decline.

"Change you can believe in" ... has become work harder for lower wages... 'Hope" has become despair as people lose their jobs, homes and dignity under Obama. " the good war " has become a death sentence for troops as Obama dithers.

Did any one know that the richest members of congress were all Dems?

No wonder the unemployment rate isn't really important to them.

"CRP says California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa is the richest lawmaker on Capitol Hill, with a net worth estimated at about $251 million. Next in line: Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.), worth about $244.7 million; Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wis.), worth about $214.5 million; Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), worth about $209.7 million; and Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), worth about $208.8 million."

Obamas record is horrible and he is the most unpopular president in the last 50 years as reported by Gallup.

He will continue to fall in the polls as unemployment keeps rising, just in time for the 2010 elections where we can kick Pelosi and her failed democrat congress to the curb and give America back to REAL Americans.

Obama's current 53% job approval rating (for the week of Oct.26-Nov. 1) is ahead of Bill Clinton's rating one year after his election, and essentially tied with Reagan's in 1981 and Carter's in 1977.

Obama Sees Worst Pres Polls In 50 Years
With not even a year in office, Barack Obama has seen his popularity numbers come crashing down to earth as concerns over American foreign policy and economics continue to mount.

Polling organization Gallup recorded approval ratings for Obama at 78% as he began his presidency in January. That slowly eroded to 62% in April and now sits at 53%.
Gallup puts Obama’s polling numbers at the lowest a new president has gotten in the last 50 years, and would mean an uphill struggle for re-election.

Political analysts cite the losing gubernatorial battles Democrat incumbents are facing in New Jersey and Virginia as an indication of public apathy towards Obama.

You need to learn and follow things. Obama was at 5 rallies in NJ in the last week including Sat and Sunday telling people to vote for his PARTNER Corzine.

Obama and the DNC spent 10 million dollars in ads for Corzine and Deeds in VA. Obama appeared in ads in VA and NJ asking for their votes.

There are videos of this on Youtube but I wont waste my time, if someone wants the real truth they will look for it themselves.

obama gained 2 more congresmen tuesday night.

Republicans have lost 20 of the past 29 House special elections, dating back to January 2003. And in perhaps the most worrisome aspect of the trend, the GOP lost its fifth consecutive competitive special election in Republican-friendly territory.

In fact, the 9-point drop in the most recent quarter is the largest Gallup has ever measured for an elected president between the second and third quarters of his term, dating back to 1953. One president who was not elected to his first term -- Harry Truman -- had a 13-point drop between his second and third quarters in office in 1945 and 1946.

Obama's 53% third-quarter average is substandard from a broader historical perspective that encompasses all 255 presidential quarters for which Gallup has data going back to 1945. On this basis, Obama's most recent average ranks 144th, or in the 44th percentile, clearly below average not just for presidents' third quarters but for all presidents.

Gallop tends to be on the high side when it comes to Obama.

Real Clear Politics reports Obama's approval is currently 51.5%. Probably the most objective indicator.

I happen to like Rasmussen since he has an excellent track record of calling elections. He has Obama at 49% approval.
